Founded in 2016, Rassvet is the collective fruit of acclaimed Russian fashion designer, Gosha Rubchinskiy, and professional skateboarder, Tolya Titaev.

The Moscow centric company has been making waves with their clothing and edits for a while now, with their aesthetic embodying a strong sense of Russian identity, helping to shine a light on the often under-represented Russian scene. Titaev noted in an interview with Jenkem Magazine that the aim for the brand was for it to be the point of reference when somebody thinks about skateboarding in Russia, and to push a distinctively Russian brand to a worldwide platform – given the output of the brand so far in terms of both clothing and edits, we’d say they’re doing a pretty good job.

As you would expect with a brand that is co-owned by Gosha Rubchinskiy, the garments combine forward-thinking fashion, with 1990’s and early 2000’s skateboard culture, and a deep-rooted Muscovite heritage. With Comme des Garçons tapping in on production duties, the quality of the garments speaks for itself, where high-end fashion meets premium skate clobber, with the latest collection featuring a range of premium t shirts and pants made across factories in Italy, Portugal and Turkey, and decks to follow soon.

The brand has previously collaborated with companies such as Carhartt, but Titaev stipulates that the idea was not for the company to rely solely on collaborations for its success and appeal, with their standalone collections designed to retain the brand’s identity and unique appeal.

With the team consisting of Val Bauer, Andrey Lyamtsev, Cambryan Sedlick, Joseph Biais, Lilian Fev, Tolia Titaev, Yaroslav Kondratev and Pat Franklin, their roster encompasses an eclectic cross-section of skateboarding styles. Peep an assortment of previous Rassvet edits below and marvel at the marble monolithic structures at the disposal of Russian skateboarders, and then try and refrain from booking a one-way flight to Moscow.
